the neodymium iron boron(NIB NdFeB NEO) magnets are also known as Neodymium-Iron-Boron or NdFeB or NIB super strong magnets since they are composed of rare earth elements. These magnets are extremely strong for their small size and are metallic in appearance.

there are two kinds of neodymium (NIB NdFeB NEO) magnets: sintered neodymium iron boron(NIB NdFeB) magnets and boned sintered neodymium iron boron(NIB NdFeB) magnets.

what's neodymium magnets?

the neodymium magnet(NdFeB, NIB, or Neo magnet), the most widely-used type of rare-earth magnet, is a permanent magnet made from an alloy of neodymium, iron, and boron to form the Nd2Fe14B.

This applied field imparts a preferred direction of magnetization, or orientation to the Neodymium Iron Boron Magnet alloy. The alignment of particles results in an anisotropic alloy and vastly improves the residual induction and other magnetic characteristics of the finished rare earth magnet named Neodymium Iron Boron magnet which is also called "neo magnet". After pressing, the neo "Neodymium Iron Boron" magnets are sintered and heat treated until they reach their fully dense condition.

application of neodymium magnets

As the NdFeB price rising, the practice to replace other magnets with NdFeB becomes more expensive. As of today, NdFeB can be found in hard drives, DC motors, meters, odometers, speakers, sensors, telephones and mobile phones, which were not economically feasible just a few years ago.

Most of customers request NdFeB magnet with high maximum working temperature, such as 38SH, 35EH, 35UH, use some small arc magnets to form a ring magnet, magnetization direction is through diameter, N-S and S-N. And some request other shapes such as segment, wedge shape, block, ring, or special shape.

As the third generation rare earth magnets, NdFeB(Neodymium Magnets) provides the highest maximum energy product among permanent magnets.

The typical BHmax for sintered NdFeB is 35MGOe (N35), which is 7-8 times of Ceramic and AlNiCo magnets, and roughly 35% higher than the typical Samarium Cobalt magnets. This characteristics has been benefiting many customers in reducing their product sizes and increasing the performance.

In reality, NdFeB can be applied to most applications in which other magnet types have been used for years.
